![]() Don't miss the photo op out on the grounds with the HUGE buffalo skull. Also, if several videos are playing at the same time, the sounds kind of conflict with each other. The twisty trail through the museum might get a bit hectic if there are lots of people there. We were also the only people in the museum at first, which was really nice. We thought we might be at the museum about an hour but ended up staying almost three, without even realizing the time passing. Be sure to watch the videos at the beginning and the end. The sculptures throughout and the rotating information walls were also informative, short enough to capture attention and long enough to tell the story. Comanches (peaceful and warring), settlers, cowboys, law enforcement and buffalo hunters - they were all sharing the frontier from their perspective. ![]() Rather than being a "read-it-all" kind of museum, there were several holographic stations with actors explaining what it was like to live and survive in frontier Texas. Townspeople, as well as individuals from the surrounding areas, gathered to watch crooks like William Van Horn and William Wilson. This interpretive center was extremely well done and informative. Hangings in the Wild West were well-attended events. ![]()
